1938 Bremische Lichtbildzentrale Glass Lantern Slide Bronze Age Rock Carvings
Original vintage glass lantern slide produced by Bremische Lichtbildzentrale (Bremen Photographic Image Center), an educational image library that supplied schools throughout Germany with photographic teaching materials during the early 20th century.
This slide features an aerial view of prehistoric Scandinavian Bronze Age rock carvings (petroglyphs), believed to depict ancient ships, symbols, and ceremonial figures. The carvings have been highlighted in white, a common archaeological documentation technique of the period.
The original paper label is intact and reads BREMISCHE LICHTBILDZENTRALE, with Slide No. 8. The side label includes "Stelle für den Unterrichtsfilm" (Office for Educational Films) and a date stamp that appears to read April 1938, placing this slide in the pre-World War II era.
